Youth Trip to the Philippines

My heart has always been to work amongst Third World Nations and to see people saved. Part of this is a desire to take youth to these countries to give them an experience of life there and to see God at work. I am extremely excited to be taking some of our youth and leaders to the Philippines this summer.  We are going to visit House of Grace Community Church 25 minutes from the capital, Manila and they are excited about us coming.
In 2007 they purchased land to construct their church building and starting with 30 people they now have over 100 meeting to worship Jesus. More building is taking place and hopefully, the youth will help with painting and be part of the exciting new Saturday feeding and livelihood project starting there.  We will be working with the local community to help adults and young people. We will be taking lessons in schools and we will be working in the community with children and parents providing activities and games. We hope to do puppet work, crafts, songs and stories. We will also visit homes and join the church on Sunday where we may have opportunities to share testimonies, pray for people and join in community outreaches.
The cost of the trip is £1,200 per person and we want to raise £5,000. This means lots of fundraising events in the next 4 months, providing a wonderful opportunity to invite friends and share life with them.
The visit will be an amazing opportunity for all going to grow in God and see life from a different viewpoint. It will be a mind broadening time which will stay with us all for a life time. Please pray for the team as we prepare and while we are there.
